Solar Columns

The past two summers I've worked Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts. One of my colleagues, a ceramics teacher, worked in the context of environment sculpture. Two summers ago, she had an installation at the Hecksher.

"This innovative environmental art piece, inspired by the Egyptian colonnade at the temple of Aman Ra in Karnac, is created entirely out of locally harvested bamboo, jute rope and solar lighting. Together these sustainable local materials represent ‘eco-friendly’ as an art form."
